"Where Children Come First"
Mission Statement:

The mission of Midland Elementary, a united, family oriented, rural school, is to assure that each student maximizes his/her potential to succeed in an ever-changing society through a student centered, technologically driven curricula.
Taking action to ensure school safety
Click PLAY and listen as HCS administrators, local law enforcement, and our Senior Solicitor for the juvenile court system, speak about the dangers and consequences of making a bomb threat against one of our schools.
There will no Chess Club until after PASS testing.

Midland Elementary received a $2,500 contribution from the Monsanto Fund. Midland was selected by SB Turf as the America's Farmers Grow Communities recipient for Horry County. This is a way to recognize farmers and the vital role they play in caring for our land and growing our economy. Thanks to the Monsanto Company for all of their efforts to make rural America a vibrant place to live, work and raise a family.

Midland would like to thank the WOW Lodge #704 for presenting us with a new state flag for our school.
All schools and offices will be closed for Break from April 6-15.
Currently the Burroughs and Chapin Family Fund is helping Horry County teachers by partially funding Donors Choose grants. This fund pays the project down to half! Our teachers need help funding the remainder of their grants! Donors can be anyone and any amount. If you would like more information or would like to
donate, please visit
www.donorschoose.org .
Thanks to Burroughs and Chapin for their support of education.

Midland appreciates all of our volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at Midland, please let us know. We would love to have you.

Midland Elementary wins Palmetto Gold!
The Palmetto Gold and Palmetto Silver awards program was created by the South Carolina General Assembly to recognize schools that attain high levels of absolute performance, high rates of growth and substantial progress in closing achievement gaps between groups of students. Congratulations to all of the students, parents, and staff for all of their hard work.
